Tenders & Contractual Claims

Brian Hawkins works with consultants, contractors and public bodies in the various phases of civil engineering projects, from concept to final settlement.

He advises on the most appropriate site investigation and when required, supervises the ground investigation works. Assistance is given to contractors in the assessment of tender documents and in determining how working methods can be optimised. During the construction phase, he is often asked to visit the works to assess how problems can be minimised and where they may be the basis of contractual claims.

Brian is experienced in the preparation of contractual claims, the assessment of claim submissions and in negotiating the settlement of disputes. He acts as an Expert Witness on ground conditions, both nationally and internationally, in civil cases and Public Inquiries.
